Inclusion in Keyna

If Christianity widely defined seems slow to move toward full inclusion of LGBTQ people in this country, the general impression we get from the media, at least, is that inclusion in African Christianity is much farther away. This guest column on Martin Marty’s Sightings offers a glimmer of hope, and surveys a number of Kenyan organizations that are not using Christianity to promote homophobia but to defeat it. They are taking incredible social and often physical risks to insure that LBGTQ Kenyans know that they still have the love of God. This is what God’s work looks like.
