Waging Peace Interviews: Shelley Fudge

Next in our ongoing series of interviews from the Alliance of Baptists 2013 Waging Peace conference, Cathy Baskin sits down with a representative of Jewish Voice for Peace, Shelley Cohen Fudge.  I personally found their conversation enlightening, and I’m sure you will too.  It is too easy to see the occupation in broad strokes – Israeli vs. Palestinian – but it is more complex than that.  The occupation damages Palestinians most directly and horribly, of course, but it damages everyone involved – Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Israeli, Palestinian, American.  We are all poisoned by it.

  1. Wow, Shelley – I did not know most of this – especially that you grew up in NC where both of my sisters live. Thank you so much for telling your story – Hebron, for me too was significant – like returning to Richmond, Va, in the 60’s, where I grew up. There is such blatant discrimation in Hebron.
